Alien Crash Landing!

There have been some very strange goings-on at Mulbarton Primary School today!

We came into school to hear the news that a spaceship had been seen hovering over our playground.

We checked CCTV footage and saw that something appeared to have crash landed on the grass behind our classrooms.

Some of us were a little anxious, but we summoned up the courage to check out the site.  We found the wreckage of what looked like a shiny, silver spaceship, lots of wires, a round window, various springs, tubes, cogs and a ticking clock.  The grass looked like it had been scorched in several places too.

We decided that we needed to share this news, so we wrote and illustrated newspaper reports of what we had seen and found out.  Later in the week, we will investigate some of the wreckage and learn about the properties of the different materials.

What an excellent way to kick off our new 'Moon Zoom' topic!
